So this post isn't an update about Dad, but something I was thinking about in church today. I was just thinking about Dad and how Jeremy truly gave him the gift of life. I was thinking how grateful our family has been for this gift, and how we have felt an overwhelming amount of blessings. Our Sacrament hymn today at church was number 169, As We Take the Sacrament. At the end of the hymn it read, We contemplate they lasting grace Thy boundless charity; To us the gift of life was giv'n For all eternity. This song and Dad going through this experience has helped me look at the atonement in a very new light. Christ gave each of us the gift of life. We each have received the gift of life through the atonement. Dad 's experience has made me look at the atonement and Christ's gift to each of us in a much more personal way. It has made me very grateful for Christ's gift of eternal life to me.

  1. i had the same thought just the other day. Christ gave us the ultimate gift- he let us all have life after this life- and we can all be together if we are all faithful!
