So, yesterday dad's blood work was all over the place. Everything that use to be high was low and everything use to be low was high. The doctors couldn't figure out what was going on so they were watching him closely in the ICU. All of a sudden my mom heard the heart monitor go crazy, all the doctors rushed in and seemed paniced. Without saying a word to my mom they rushed him to the fourth floor and said they were probably going to have to do another procedure. My mom called Chad to tell all of us and we were very scared. Dad had had a small heart attack. My mom then called 30 minutes later, a lot more calm this time and said that the heart resolved itself. And, he did in fact have a small heart attack. He did not even feel that he was having a heart attack so he was not in any pain and it resolved itself without medication, which the doctors said is a good thing. His potassium levels were all of the place and his body thought that it needed to pump more blood so, it did. Thus, causing the attack. No procedure had to take place, thank goodness. His body is going through a lot right now, trying to recover from 2 major surgeries, so close together is hard for the body to do. They will be keeping him in the ICU for probably another week. We knew as family, that this was going to be a long process, we are trying to be patient and know that Heavenly Father is looking out for all of us.
Our love and prayers are with you moment to moment. Thank you for being so kind to share the updates of this miracle with us.
