Update- Tuesday 2/2/2010

Today was a great day for my dad. He has been having a bile leak that the doctors were not sure if it was just left over from surgery or if there was an actual leak in the liver so they did a scan yesterday to see if there was a problem. The scan came back today and there was no leak, YEAH. If there would have been a leak they would have had to do another surgery, which would not have been good on his new liver. So, we are very relieved, and the doctors say the bile should clear up in the next few days. He has also been waiting for his body to wake up from surgery and function normally. He could not eat anything until it did. So, for the past week he could not eat or drink anything, thus causing him to lose more weight, which he didn't have room to lose anymore to begin with. But,he is finally eating a little bit this week and starting to gain strength back slowly. The doctors are still amazed at how well his liver is functioning, all of his numbers look great and we are still hoping for no rejection!
